Acesulfame K, also called Acesulfame Potassium

Nature: Colorless to white crystalline powder; Not smelly, intense sweet taste, The sweetness is approximately 150 times than sucrose, with similar taste to saccharine. It has bitter taste when at high density. Mix well with polyol, sucrose and so on. The melting point is approximately 225 ℃. The maximum absorption spectrum is 227nm. The density is 1.83 g/cm3 (loose density is 1.1 ~ 1.3 kg/dm3). No hydroscopic property. Stable at room temperature. Easily soluble in water (30g/100ml, 20℃), slightly soluble in organic solvent like ethanol and so on.
Application: Non-nutritious sweetener, widely applied in various kinds of food, even in the drink with PH value of 3.0.
